PEACE IN STORMY WEATHER
about
Peace in Stormy Weather, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded in 2021 with a heartfelt mission: to bring hope, comfort, and support to families in need throughout Solano County. What began as a prayer to give back to the community became a powerful vision-one rooted in compassion, service, and faith.
Since our founding, we have been dedicated to providing essential winter items to families facing hardship. We distribute winter essentials which includes, coats, jackets, hoodies, sweaters. beanies, gloves, socks, blankets, and toiletries-with 60% of those supported being children.
At Peace in Stormy Weather, we believe that even in life's most difficult seasons, warmth, dignity, and care can make all the difference. Together, we are creating brighter, stronger communities-one family at a time.

TESTIMONY
As a child, I watched my mother feed the homeless who lived on the streets of Texas. We did not have much, but we always had enough to share with others. Her compassion and generosity taught me the importance of helping those in need, regardless of our own circumstances. Those experiences shaped my heart and inspired my lifelong passion for serving underserved communities.
I started my nonprofit alongside like-minded friends; who share the same heart for serving others. They are members of our Board, and each of them is passionate about helping those in need with kindness, compassion, and generosity. We work together seamlessly because we understand the true meaning of service and caring for our community. We are members of the same church and ministry. In 2013, I joined the homeless ministry at the encouragement of a friend and later invited another friend to join as well. Together, we volunteered our time serving food and distributing clothing and toiletries to those experiencing homelessness.
As I continued serving, it was placed on my heart to do more. I began purchasing shoes, toiletries, beanies, gloves, blankets, umbrellas, flip-flops, and other essentials, so our homeless guests could shop for the items they personally needed most. We also collect donated clothing so they could choose clothing with dignity and care.
The joy on their faces was priceless because they knew they were seen, valued, and cared for. Those moments continue to inspire and motivate us to serve with love, compassion and purpose.
