PEACE IN STORMY WEATHER

WHO WE ARE
Peace in Stormy Weather, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded in 2021 with a heartfelt mission: to bring hope, comfort, and support to families in need throughout Solano County. What began as a prayer to give back to the community became a powerful vision-one rooted in compassion, service, and faith.
Since our founding, we have been dedicated to providing essential winter items to families facing hardship. We distribute winter essentials which includes, coats, jackets, hoodies, sweaters. beanies, gloves, socks, blankets, and toiletries-with 60% of those supported being children.
At Peace in Stormy Weather, we believe that even in life's most difficult seasons, warmth, dignity, and care can make all the difference. Together, we are creating brighter, stronger communities-one family at a time.

OUR STORY
My passion for serving underserved communities began in childhood, watching my mother share meals with individuals experiencing homelessness in Texas. Although our family had limited resources, she always found a way to help others, teaching me the lasting value of compassion, generosity and service.
In 2013, I joined a homeless ministry and, alongside dedicated friends who now serve on our Board, began volunteering to provide meals, clothing, and toiletries to individuals experiencing homelessness. As our commitment grew, I felt called to do more by purchasing essential items such as shoes, blankets, gloves, and hygiene products, while also collecting donated clothing to allow guests to select items that best met their needs with dignity and respect.
The gratitude and joy we witnessed inspired the founding of Peace in Stormy Weather. Today, we remain committed to serving underserved communitie4s with compassion, restoring hop, and reminding individuals and families that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

CUSTOMER TESTIMONY
At our inaugural Peace in Stormy Weather Clothing Giveaway held at True Love Baptist Church on October 31, 2022, a young woman approached us while selecting clothing and expressed her heartfelt gratitude. She shard that she was facing the loss of her hob, imminent evection, and uncertainty about where she would go next. With tears in her eyes, she said "You don't understand how thankful I am. This service you are providing free of charge brings me a little sanity. Thank you, God bless you."
Her words reminded us that our mission extends beyond providing clothing and essentials. It is about restoring dignity, offering hope, and letting individuals and families know they are seen, valued, and not alone during life's most difficult seasons.
